We recently worked with UNICEF on Fix My Food, a regional campaign initiated to empower youth to advocate for healthier food environments. Sadly, children today are growing up in an environment where traditional diets based on nutritious and fresh foods are increasingly being replaced with highly processed ‘junk’ foods and drinks. At the same time, fresh food markets are closing and nutritious food is often unaffordable or unavailable.

Starting with youth participatory conferences in key cities across the APAC region, the aim of the Fix My Food campaign is for UNICEF to work with local governments and partners to introduce policies to curb the rise in sales and marketing of unhealthy food and drink, and to increase access to healthier foods.
We covered the youth participatory conference at UNICEF’s headquarters in Beijing, and produced a short documentary with English and Chinese-language versions. Additionally, we delivered vertical-format versions for Chinese social platforms such as Douyin (China’s version of TikTok).
